About
With 950 students, our elementary school is the largest elementary school in Jefferson Parish and the largest, high-poverty school in the state of Louisiana. The West Bank of New Orleans is an ethnically and racially diverse area, and this is reflected in school's student body. Twenty percent of the students have limited English proficiency. These students come from Spanish-speaking, Arabic-speaking, and Haitian Creole-speaking homes. Our mission is to create a challenging and nurturing learning environment by providing quality instruction, high expectations, and a supportive and diverse school community so that every student can grow as a scholar and a person toward a successful future.
