About
TQRP offers an intense two-week Summer Institute that convenes all three individual areas of focus (HBCU Males, STEM and New Teachers) to develop sound pedagogy, discuss and demonstrate research-based educational practice, and analyze current educational policy – all with the goal of developing the skills needed to be future teacher leaders. TQRP Fellows have the opportunity to collaborate with master teachers and TMCF staff to:
+ Work toward becoming certified teachers
+ Successfully complete their first three years in the classroom
+ Acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to become National Board Certified Teachers when eligible to apply

I am a secondary mathematics teacher, who is looking to help raise money for supplies and materials that will be beneficial to my students. I want there to be no limitations on their ability to be successful in the classroom. Allowing them to learn, grow, and become great students as well as people who are ready to take on the world one day!!!

My journey begins in the "Sweet Syrup Ciy" of Cairo, GA. I am a graduate of Albany State University, where I received my undergraduate degree in Middle Grades Education. In 2013, I begin my career in education teaching 6th grade Earth Science. While teaching, I received a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. My purpose is to reach students in urban, low-income communities by developing the skills necessary for those children to become leaders in society.

I am Ashley Artis, a graduate of Fayetteville State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. I am entering my third year of teaching Emereau: Bladen Charter School in Elizabethtown, North Carolina. I am a firm believer that our students are the future of this world. If we as educators don't believe in them, then who will?

I am a 5th grade English Teacher in a Title 1 (low income) school. I have a passion to connect students learning to real life experience. My ultimate goal as an educator is not just to teach standards, but to establish life-long relationships with my students, and give them the motivation to reach and achieve their dreams despite the adversity they may face. Outside of school I am a minister, dancer, daughter, aunt, sister, and friend.

A loving, caring, and confident young lady who has a special interest in promoting educational excellence among children. Ashley exudes a passion for content and wants to actively explore the curriculum with her third grade students. She is an advocate for building self-esteem in children both socially and academically. She is able to engage students with her enthusiastic attitude about learning. Ashley is committed to continuous learning to broaden her experience and knowledge.
