Paul Laurence Dunbar Learning Center, located in South Dallas, prepares college-bound scholars. Scholars' interests are our priority and scholars' needs are addressed by an enthusiastic, experienced, and well-trained staff.
A walk through the school reveals a well-equipped computer lab; displays and models of scholars' projects and good work; and classrooms full of happy, involved scholars immersed in rigorous and challenging instruction.
Dunbar Learning Center incorporates a curriculum that challenges and integrates real-world resources in a fun way, is flexible to meet scholars' needs, and provides a solid core foundation in preparation for middle school. More importantly, scholars at Dunbar display good character and make the right choices.
Paul L. Dunbar is proud to have made Texas Monthly magazine's list of Best Public Schools. Dunbar scholars performed better on the Math portion of the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills than did their counterparts at other schools around the state.
According to the Texas Education Agency (TEA) 2014 Accountability Ratings, Dunbar \"Met Standard" and received "Distinction" designation for student progress.
