Founded in 2002, KIPP TEAM Academy is our network's first charter school built on the premise that together, everyone achieves more. Our goal is for all students to live productive lives and positively contribute to their community.
At its foundation, the academic program at TEAM Academy is based on two principles: rigor and differentiation. Our curricula and schedule are designed to prepare students to be college-ready by the end of twelfth grade, while at the same time meeting each student at their individual level.
TEAM celebrates student growth and achievement through weekly grade-level community meetings, as well as through both individual and group support. We also implement daily blended learning programs, guided and independent reading, small groups and co-teaching in the majority of our classrooms.

My name is Nikeya Stuart and I am a Teach for America- NJ alumni. I am super excited to be entering my fourth year of teaching Mathematics to students in Newark, NJ. This year will be my first time teaching 5th grade math at Team Academy, a Kipp-NJ school. I want to ensure that my students are set up for success in every way imaginable. Many of my students will require remediation for basic math skills and any additional resources can assist with closing this educational gap. I appreciate any and everything that you can do to help me reach my fundraising goal.
