About
Curtis Corner Middle School (CCMS) is a 7th and 8th grade school. The mission of Curtis Corner Middle School is to provide a safe learning environment that develops the whole child academically, socially, emotionally and physically. In partnership with families and the community, our goal is to enable children to be clear thinking communicators and enthusiastic life-long learners. CCMS will provide a challenging standards-based learning community with clear expectations and responsibilities that gives all students the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and character necessary to contribute in a meaningful way to society.
At Curtis Corner, we pride ourselves on being a community of learners. We know that a strong and positive relationship between families and school is essential to student success. Therefore, we value your input, involvement and support. Curtis Corner Middle School is dedicated to providing a responsive education that meets the needs of young adolescents in personlized, small communities. Teachers and students are team-based, meaning that a group of students share the same group of core teachers. Teachers meet collaboratively every day to share best practices and work together to reach mutually agreed upon goals.

I'm a 7th & 8th-grade social studies teacher at Curtis Corner Middle School (CCMS) in South Kingstown, Rhode Island. This year I am leading our 8th-grade Washington, D.C trip. It is an amazing experience for our students and it leaves them with life-long memories. In addition to coordinating and planning the trip details, I lead a fundraising committee comprised of parents, teachers, and community members. We work together to assure we raise enough money to help our students in need of financial assistance.
