Having just completed Teach for America’s 2019 summer training, I am excited to announce that I will be teaching 5th grade bilingual language arts and social studies at John Ireland ES in Dallas, Texas this fall. I will be responsible for my very own classroom. I can't wait to meet my students and their families and create the positive learning environment that will be my classroom.

Every student deserves the right to a great education. However, one of the biggest challenges that students in high-need schools face is a lack of materials that are needed on a daily basis. It makes it infinitely more difficult for students to take part in activities and classwork when they do not have basic supplies. The classroom environment has a huge impact on young minds. 

I will use the funds that I raise to purchase the supplies needed to welcome my students to a well-stocked classroom that would not otherwise be available to them. Above all, I will use your donations to create a positive environment that fosters learning and development for each and every student.
