First Year Classroom

The Description
On average a teacher spends $500 of their personal money on supplies and 1 in 10 spend over $1,000.
This time next week (8/6) I will start my first-year teaching English as a Second Language at Cordova High School in Memphis, Tennessee. I am excited to meet my students and get to work! However, as a first-year teacher there are many things that I need in order to get my classroom up and running. I want to provide my students with basic necessities to ensure they don’t have to worry about materials and can focus on their school work. I would like to be able to contribute my own money to my room but because of my training, I have been unable to work for 2 months.
All the money I raise will go to buying school supplies for my students (plus $10 to cover credit card fees). Below you will find my wish list. It is organized based on need (highest priority at the top). My biggest need is a white board. My classroom is a small annex and does not have a white board or chalk board so at the moment I don’t have anything to write on.
Thank you all for your support!
