The Description

As some of you may know, I will be embarking on my teaching journey with Teach for America at YES Prep Public Schools Southeast Campus in less than 2 weeks where I will be teaching 7th grade Texas History. I am so excited for this opportunity to grow as an educator/ change-maker, learn from my students' curiosities and narratives, and the community. Nearly all of my students, in my 6 periods, come from low-income families and with that said, I need your help to provide my students with school supplies and classroom materials. I envision providing a space for my students that is comfortable, safe and meets the learning needs of my students. That means, giving my students the option of flexible seating and a more stimulating/ engaging classroom layout. My school is limited in what they can provide for my students so it is up to me to decide to provide them with what they deserve in order to flourish.

Please consider donating and/ or sharing, every dollar truly helps!

Back Up Plan

If we do not reach our goal I will purchase mainly the basics such as paper, pencils and pens. I will also attempt to gradually provide these resources to my students; possibly giving them a late start.
