The Description
At KIPP we believe in the use of technology to enhance our instruction for ALL learning styles. It's such a disappointment, when you planned for this awesome Anne Frank video clip to go along with your novel study in order to ensure that ALL students (visual and auditory learners) can understand the main theme and ideas of Anne Frank: Diary of a Young Girl...and then the $14.99 speakers you've had for 3 years don't work anymore. #buzzkill #sadface
I work at KIPP West in West Philadelphia. We believe ALL students will learn regardless of their socio-economic status and disabilities. I co-teach in an inclusive classroom with a WIDE variety of learners with a WIDE variety of abilities. It is of the utmost importance that the regular educator and myself differentiate instruction to meet ALL of our students' needs. One way in which we do this is by incorporating technology, visuals, and supplemental materials to assist our lower level learners to access grade level content in our 7th grade English/Language Arts classroom.
The event described above is a true story. Our students are in desperate need of reliable and audible speakers so they can benefit from the differentiation necessary to help them reach their full potential and improve their reading ability.

Thank you so much for your investment in our students and their learning!

If I do not meet my goal I will purchase the speakers by contributing the rest of the money from my own pocket in order to make sure that our students get what they absolutely need to be successful!
