Big Change Through Small Acts: $10 Classroom Donation
$750
$750 goal
The Description
75 is a special number.
This past year, 75 students came to my classroom every day. They challenged me and empowered me. They made me laugh, they made me cry, and they made me crazy. Most notably, through small things each and every day, they made me proud. They chose to work hard, even when it wasn't easy. They chose success, even when circumstances often pushed failure. They chose to show up, grow, and be better.
In our classroom, it wasn't about grand acts of achievement and success; rather, it was about consistently doing the little things. Seemingly insignificant moments are what shape a person. Those soon become the big things.
In the same way these 75 impacted me in big ways through small acts, I am challenging 75 people in my life to help me impact future students. Grand acts through large donations, while greatly appreciated, are unnecessary; instead, I am asking for 75 people to each give at least $10.
I believe in the power of average people to initiate extraordinary change. A simple $10 may not be much, but 75 $10 donations results in $750 worth of classroom resources and supplies to promote literacy in my students. Making the choice to donate takes but a couple minutes, yet the impact has potential to last a lifetime.
