4th Grade Startup Classroom Supplies

The Description

Last year I was lucky enough to have the support to purchase classroom startup supplies that allowed me to provide my 5th grade students with the tools that they needed to be successful. These supplies supplemented the basic ones that all classrooms must have (pencils, highlighters, paper, sticky notes) to allow me to create a positive, inclusive, and fun classroom culture in which students were able to learn and grow.

This year I will be moving from 5th grade to 4th grade and thus will need to obtain similar startup supplies necessary to create the same type of culture, but for a different age group. I envision these supplies to include (at a minimum) stickers, certificates, treasure box prizes, a class set of Expo markers for whiteboard work, a class set of clipboards for mobile workspace, a class set of headphones for computer work, and furniture/books for Reader’s Corner.

In addition, any leftover funds will be used to fill needs based on student input during the beginning of the school year.

Back Up Plan

If we do not reach our goal I will purchase the minimum required supplies listed above and work to raise more funds throughout the school year to meet additional student need.
