With these funds I will be creating reading groups and units for my class next year (2018-2019) using the Sunshine State books for young readers. Each year the state has a list of books for readers to try. I will incorporate these books to help the young readers grow in  literacy. Students will read all of the books by the end of the school year.

I will have students in small groups reading and sharing their learning with me and the class. A group of 5 will do a book study, so I am seeking 5 copies of each Sunshine State book to have in the classroom. Reading the series of Sunshine State Books will be a yearlong study for the students in the classroom. The class will celebrate at the end of the year and earn rewards for their efforts of reading EVERY Sunshine State book!
