With these funds I will be purchasing book cases to start my classroom library! All of my students love to read and are just as excited as I am to start a classroom library that is accessable to them at any point throughout the day. Having a classroom library will increase the access to books for my students who are disadvantaged and cannot make a trip to the public library due to transportation. My class has enough books to create a library, and now we are all just waiting for the book cases to set them up! Every day that my students come to class I am asked the same question, \\"Can I go to the Library?" "Can I go exchange my books?" At times it is difficult to have all of my students alternate library passes, BUT with their very own classroom library, they have access to hundred of books that have already been donated! They will be able to walk to the back of the classroom and pick up a new book, and this way I know that they are developing as good readers by always having books accessible for them to read and explore. My goal is to have all of my students grow at least two reading levels by the end of the year. My students would be extremely excited to walk into class and see their brand-new classroom library ready to be explored! The items that I am planning on purchasing with this donation are:
