The Description
As a teacher I am responsible for my very own classroom! I engage daily with my students and their families, and it is my responsibility to ensure that my classroom is a welcoming environment for everyone. One of the biggest challenges is making sure that all of my students have the materials they need to participate in class daily. This is especially important at the beginning of the school year, when we set the tone for how important it is for everyone to be a part of our classroom community.
To get the year started off right, I will use the funds that I raise to purchase the supplies needed to welcome my students back to their classroom that is clean and stocked full with materials. This will allow me to provide the required supplies to students that otherwise would not have them. I will also purchase copy paper to ensure that I can provide my students with high quality learning materials, whether that is exit tickets, independent activities, or homework.
Every dollar I receive will be put towards classroom supplies so anything you can contribute really will make a difference in our classroom. As always, I want to make a great impression and a lasting impact on my group of students and letting them know that they have a community that supports them both near and far will definitely get us on the right track. 2nd Year Focused on Success
August 1, 2018
The support I received last year was phenomenal!!!! I can't stress enough how helpful it was that the basic things were always readily available for my students.
Dry Erase Markers and Whiteboards gave them the ability to practice questions at their desk without fear of mistakes. It also allowed us to play games to emphasize speed while not sacrificing efficiency.
I was able to provide pencils all year long.....well close to all year long. It's a known fact that 7th Graders, in fact, eat pencils so I ran out around the 3rd quarter. But being able to provide them with pencils for so long and then running out allowed me to teach them a life lesson on valuing something that's given to you while at the same time not sacrificing the small amount of time we have daily to get work done.
Tissue and hand sanitizer lasted throughout the year, despite the fact that 7th graders eat tissue and drink sanitizer.
We were able to set up shout-out boards thank to the Post-ITs, We used Anchor Paper weekly to allow them to move around the room while doing mathematical experiments.
Bottom line....every single penny was used for my students and was a direct link in the success stories we were able to achieve. I thank you and appreciate everything that was donated.
