As the cheerleading coach at KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate, I strive to give my team the tools to excel in the classroom, in life, and in the things they love (cheer, of course!). In order to make sure that they are able to do what they are passionate about, I need to make sure first and foremost that they are safe. In teaching and coaching, your students/athletes are like your own kids - you worry about them. At our school, we do not have the funds to get the cheerleading team proper cheerleading mats (currently, we don't have a mat at all), so I am looking to buy competition mats so girls can be safe and we can grow the cheerleading team at our school and start competing. It costs $4,151 plus shipping, but would be the key to our team's success and safety. With no mats right now, we are not able to stunt or compete like other teams, which is one of the most exciting parts of cheerleading!
