With these funds I will be able to purchase a special education curriculum called the Unique Learning System. It has been so difficult to teach 6 grades and learn all the TEKS for each grade. My students need one complete program to follow so nothing gets left out of their instruction and everything is cohesive. The unique learning system was created with special education students in mind. It has built in interventions on multiple ability levels, computer based learning, and a large library of leveled books that we are also in desperate need of. It is the perfect curriculum for my students to use and I was denied it without explanation. I am asking for the funds to buy this program myself because I believe it is going to positively influence the education of my students.
