Creating the ANCS Innovation Lab #ClearTheList

The Description

With these funds I will purchase ten Samsung Chromebooks and two Sphero Minis (app enabled robots). We currently have just five laptops to share among all our students, so you can imagine how creative we need to be when it's class time and other teachers would like to utilize the laptops. It is our hope that we will be a 1:1 school that has a device to offer each student at each grade level to utilize in school for instructional purposes only.

The Sphero Minis will serve as an added tool to the ANCS Innovators Club which introduces the fundamentals of engineering and computational thinking through the exploration of robotics, coding, electrical engineering and 3D printing. The 9-week course is only offered to students in grades Kindergarten through 2nd.

Back Up Plan

If we do not reach our goal I will purchase enough Chromebooks as our fundraiser allocates and continue to acquire resources for our 3D printing instructional activities.
