With these funds I will...be used to purchase an iPad mini 2 ($269), tempered glass screen protector ($10), protective case ($10) and iTunes apps for the iPad.

We have 25 students and 24 iPads. I've even given up my teacher iPad that I use for testing so that everyone can have their own. However, I received a new student and now they do not have their own iPad, which is not a very welcoming feeling when entering a classroom. 

iPads are totally "in" in education, however, the way I use them make the best of the time for my students and myself. Getting this additional iPad will help my new student feel apart of our classroom community & help them take charge of their own learning.

These students come to me with all different amounts of family support, and yet all parents want the best for their children. Some parents work nights and can not help them with homework, but instead are working to provide for their child. I see all the hard work behind the children and I want to provide the best education I can for each and every child.

My students use iPads on a daily basis. Each student uses their iPad throughout every single day. They are able to select using their iPad during literacy time, to work on their individual learning goals through an App that was donated through DonorsChoose.org as well as during math rotations for their self paced work to explore new math material, or review material they still need additional practice with. We also use our iPads during whole group instruction when it is time to practice creating math sentences using word problems, as well as sounding words out and writing those sounds during writing/phonics instruction. We are constantly using our iPads throughout our day. I have a new student in the classroom and I am requesting an iPad for that student.

When everyone has access to their own iPad, students feel more apart of our daily routine and they do not have to wait to work on someone else's tablet throughout the day. This will make a huge impact on our classroom community! Please help! Thank you!
