The Description
Our future leaders at Centennial Middle School need your support. We have a unique opportunity to send them on a 3-day youth leadership development retreat in San Diego. The retreat will help them build trust, confidence, and essential skills for future leadership.
Each student needs a donation of $310 to attend.
I know that you believe in the importance of investing in our youth, and I hope you will consider supporting our cause.

If we do not reach our goal I will reserve the funds to attend the national conference for student leaders and the educators who support them, LEAD provides opportunities for peer learning, expertise-sharing, and networking with some of the most incredible student leaders across the globe. You’ll walk away with the resources, skills, and inspiration to make an even greater impact in your school, community, and beyond.

My path to being an educator has been a unique yet inspirational adventure, which is why my philosophy on education is grounded in validating each student’s truth and providing the means to control their lives through education. Being a veteran and healthcare professional has taught me that education is essential to any endeavor. I embrace each student's unique experiences, their truth, as a benefit and not a detriment to their future. Doing so, allows me to provide an authentic learning environment in which they can flourish. I believe there is a way for every student to achieve success; I must be willing to keep looking until I find the right strategy for the right student. I am here to inspire a thirst for learning and to nurture it until my students can take control of their educational journey. Hanoch McCarty said it best, “Refuse to accept the many reasons why it can’t be done and ask if there are any reasons it can be done.” Simply put, he says we must be brave. When posed with the question of if anyone can learn, the response is a resounding yes! This is my belief, my philosophy.
