Every year, our KIPP Austin Beacon Prep students look forward to the unique experience of leaving the city of Austin for Camp Eagle in the wilderness of West Texas. At camp, students explore caves, hike the Hill Country, and conquer their fears of heights, insects, and being without a cell phone. Our students experience many “firsts” on this field lesson – from swimming to walking on a tightrope to classifying fossils and animal tracks.

By donating today, you can ensure that all of our hardworking KIPPsters have the opportunity to engage in fun outdoor activities that inspire deeper relationships with their teammates and the world around them.

Students work hard to earn the opportunity to participate in this field lesson by making good choices throughout the school year, maintaining the trust of their teachers, and exemplifying our school values of community, integrity, curiosity, courage, and tenacity. This school year, a remarkable number of students are on track to earn this once-in-a-lifetime field lesson.
