Building a Scientific Classroom

The Description

With these funds I will allow my students to enjoy science through experimentation. Many students have a hard time understanding abstract science concepts. Having more experiments and demonstrations in our science class will help students grasp these ideas better. With covid-19 gripping many of our students lives learning this year will be a daunting task as students will be dealing with outside stressors. I want to give my small scientists the chance to explore what we learn in class in fun ways. To do this I need additional funds to help support my classroom and students. All funds will go towards materials for experiments and additional classroom materials to assist my students.

Back Up Plan

If we do not reach our goal I will purchase.the items necessary by self. I was hoping for donations to procure some of the equipment I would need prior to students coming in, or at the very least the first month. Instead I will buy them over time.

About the Creator

I am excited to be a part of the TFA family and join the movement to solve education inequity in this country and provide all students with a quality education. I'm fortunate enough to be selected from a nationwide talent applicant pool to join a teacher corps comprised of leaders who commit a minimum of two years to teach in high need public schools. This summer I will be participating in an intensive skill and knowledge development program aiming to increase student achievement as well as a comprehensive professional development program including seminars, discussion groups, workshops, and content and professional learning communities specific to teaching license areas. I can't wait for my first year with Teach for America.
