With these funds, I will provide all of my students with their class materials. Booker T. Washington is a Title 1 school where many students go without school supplies to start the year.

Intervention is a course each middle school student at Booker T. Washington Middle High takes to support their Language Arts/English classes. The instruction in Intervention classes supplements the lessons in Language Arts. Every child in middle school at BTW takes my Intervention course. The $750 I am raising will split between about 230 students will provide a little more than $3 to each child. This will supply each of my students with a notebook, pencils, pens, and colored pencils.

My students deserve these materials because every child deserves the basics. There is no reason why any child should have to attend school without pencils and paper. These funds will help set my students up for success and give them the confidence they need to reach their goals for this year.
