The Description
With these funds I will... purchase supplies to make edible math cars. The students will incorporate Math, Science and Engineering to make the most creative and best functioning car. They will use everyday items like lifesavers for wheels, gummy candies, twizzlers, pretzels, and marshmallows. These cars will be created over a period of a week and the students will all have to journal what they did daily. Documenting their successes and failures.
The multiple food items we are looking to purchase will cost $150.
Back Up Plan
If I do not meet my goal I will purchase...less items to use to help the students build edible math cars.
About the Creator
I teach in a title one school which means over 70% of my students receiver free or reduced lunch. I also work at a magnet school so students in this program are required to maintain a B average.
