The Description

Hello and thank you for considering my cause. As you all know, this is a very challenging time for teachers who are trying to supply their classrooms with teaching resources that will help their students have complete learning experiences. My 2nd graders are in need of books to teach our reading curriculum but, unfortunately, they are not provided by the reading department. Most of the books are from National Geographic Readers that teach students about text features and how they help them comprehend expository texts. These are fun and easy to read books with fantastic photos and animal stories that will definitely be read and re-read multiple times. Plus, they can easily be tied to our science lessons. I need to get 2 each of these National Geographic Readers.

Here are the links to National Geographic Readers:

Saving Animal Babies

Seed to Plant

Sea Turtles

Elephants

Bats

Tornado

As you all know, classroom management plays an important role and allows learning to happen in our classrooms, and that is why I am always on look out for great books that teach manners, kindness, choices and consequences, as well as positive attitude.

These are the books that teach manners, friendship and are great for back to school read aloud activities:

Back Up Plan

If I do not meet my goal, I will purchase the books that I am supposed to use to teach the reading lessons from our reading curriculum. They are from National Geographic Kids series and I will try to get as many as I can from the list. If the funds are still left,  I will choose the books that will have the most impact on my students. For example, books that will teach my students how to make friends and being kind to others.
