During the school holiday break, students lose academic information and requires a significant amount of review of material when students return to school. Long breaks can have a greater negative effect on the learning of special educational students. I want my students to have helpful academic supplies to help with continual learning during the holiday break. The students will also have a bag to take home for the holidays with food and hygiene products. This will keep students knowledge and confidence up while over the break and help require less review when students return to school. I want every student to have all the basic “Life Essential” materials necessary to make them feel confident about themselves. The more confident a student feels the more they can accomplish in school. I cannot ask my students to meet my high expectations without the basic tools that are needed to succeed. I want to let my students know that I care about their education and I'm here to help them succeed in school.

For my project I would like to make care packages for my students.

Theses materials will help support at least 20 EC students. I will assemble and distribute these bags to my EC students before they leave for Holiday break. Each package for the students will consist of : 1 white t-shirt and 1 blue t-shirt (to wear as a shirt or undershirt sizes ), at least 1 pairs of socks (white and/or black) tote bag (to put everything in), 1 gallon bag (to put all of the hygiene products in), 1 tube toothpaste, 1 tube deodorant, 2 packs of cookies, 2 packs of chips Frito-Lay Chips, 2 packs fruit snacks, 2 mini game books, 1 book, 1 pack of Flashcards, 1 Granola Bar, 1 Mechanical Pencil, and 1 Juice.
