The Description

These funds will go directly towards our 4th grade Civil Rights Tour. Part of our school's mission is to create globally-minded TRAILBLAZERS who create a brighter path for themselves and their community.  In thinking about empowering our TRAILBLAZERS to change their community and the world, we plan our trip around important places and people during the Civil Rights Movement. We will stay in Birmingham, Alabama and also visit Montgomery and Tuskegee, Alabama and Atlanta, Georgia.  This will take place Monday, May 16th through Saturday, May 21st and include visits to the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, Tuskegee University, Rosa Parks Museum and for some pure fun, Six Flags over Georgia! We work to fundraise as much as possible so the out-of-pocket cost to our families is minimal.  The funds raised here will go towards buses, admission to museums, meals and our hotel stay.  We greatly appreciate any contributions that help us provide this learning experience for our students

Back Up Plan

If we do not meet our goal, the funds we do raise will still go directly to the trip.  We will have to raise more through traditional fundraisers.
