These funds would supplement the costs of the travel and competition fees for our members to compete in New York.

Model United Nations is an extra-curricular activity in which students typically role-play delegates of the United Nations and simulate UN committees. This activity takes place at MUN conferences, which is usually organized by a high school or college MUN club.

Although we've been able to compete locally in statewide conferences, this would be a once in a lifetime opportunity for our Model U.N. to compete in the actual United Nations in New York. The conference we would like to participate in is the NHSMUN (National High School Model United Nations). This conference is a very special opportunity for us to receive mentoring from top university students from around the world; get exposure to high-profile, relevant United Nations figures; and become connected to the Missions to the United Nations (embassies) of the country that we will be assigned to represent.
