About

Sunrise Elementary School serves approximately 390 kindergarten through fifth grade students. We first opened our doors for the 2001-02 school year and have continued to grow and learn together as we strive to improve our already high academic standards. We have implemented a number of programs to assist students in reaching their academic goals including full-day kindergarten, Best Practices as taught by the Reading First Program, and PBL (Project Based Learning). We also offer a variety of after school programs including art, sports, drama, and reading and math clubs.

The philosophy we hold dear at Sunrise Elementary School is to “Do What’s Best for Children.” This philosophy is evident in every classroom, every day. We are excited about our school and what we have to offer. And once you get to know us, you will be too.

Students in the Program for Accelerated, Academic, & Creative Education,(P.A.A.C.E.), at Sunrise Elementary, Bullhead City, Arizona, are eager to help those in need. Following news of Hurricane Harvey, and it’s widespread impact on the families in Texas, P.A.A.C.E students wanted to aid those in need. Since one of our former Sunrise teachers has relocated to the Spring Branch Independent School District in Houston Texas this year, the students would like to target this location to send all proceeds. Upon completion of raising funds, students at Sunrise Elementary will livestream with Spring Branch ISD. This will be a great way for students to see the direct impact of their efforts, and a great opportunity for them to learn about charity & citizenship.
