​Onamia Elementary is a Pre-K-2 school that provides a foundation for learning for all students in a healthy and safe school environment. From the beginning of kindergarten, students learn the wide variety of skills necessary for success in the 21st Century. We focus on foundational skills in reading, math, science, and social studies. We recognize the importance of the arts, fitness and health, and technology on our students' ability to think creatively, globally, and in a healthy manner. The integration of technology for all students assists in the personalization of education, creating more interactive lessons, and building skills that are becoming increasingly important for success, such as digital literacy, communication and collaboration. To ensure that all students excel at Onamia Primary, teachers use ongoing formative assessments and work in Professional Learning Communities to analyze student data and address individual student needs.
