8th Language Arts
I started teaching English/ Language Arts in 1997 in Louisville, KY, and have been at the same urban middle school for the last thirteen years. Our school is over 50% free and reduced lunch, but we also serve as a magnet for the gifted and talented population, as well as for the visual and performing arts. I have been honored and blessed to get to know families from every walk of life, every color and creed, every socioeconomic level, and I know what every teacher does--diversity is the lifeblood of learning and innovation. These two decades have been an amazing journey, and I'm hoping to stay on this path for another ten years.
