The vision of Madrona Elementary, where children are treasured, is to foster a love of learning in an innovative, cooperative, nurturing climate which empowers all students to be competent, productive,caring and responsible citizens.

Teachers and staff are dedicated to promoting the mission and vision with a child-centered approach to teaching and learning. The Response to Intervention model provides a structure for students receive differentiated instruction on their level int he areas of reading and math as additional support to the grade level standards of instruction. Character education is a valued component to learning as is taught throughout the year.

Madrona's PBIS model explicitly teachers behavioral expectations, recognizes when students are exceeding expectations, and reteaches students when needed. Consequences for misbehaviors are designed to foster problem-solving skills and to prevent further incidents.
