About
The John Barry Elementary mission is to provide and encourage a diverse approach to learning that inspires each student to learn, achieve, and remain committed to high standards in all content areas. Through data-driven instruction we will challenge our students to think critically and creatively to work collaboratively and to become daily problem solvers.
John Barry Elementary Staff will support and engage a learning environment where expectations for academic achievement are high, and instructional diversity remains a priority. We envision our school as a learning community dedicated to the mutual support of students, staff, parents, and the larger community. We strive to service others. Through the promotion of academic excellence and service to the school and community, our students will be life-long learners and contributing members of society.

I teach in a title one school which means over 70% of my students receiver free or reduced lunch. I also work at a magnet school so students in this program are required to maintain a B average.
