About

The vision of F.S. Edmonds School is to develop and sustain an academic community in which every stakeholder- teachers, staff, students and their families- models lifelong learning and respect of themselves and others so that our children will become positive, contributing members of society. We will prepare our students to live lives that are full within the global community and to embrace individuality. Our school will promote a positive, safe, and nurturing environment in partnership with our families. We value the relationships we have with our families and know with this collaboration our students will exel. We will provide rigorous academic instruction so that upon leaving the F.S. Edmonds community our students will have the character, knowledge and skills to determine their own personal and professional destiny.

The F. S. Edmonds Elementary School was built in 1948. Our school is named for Dr. Franklin Spencer Edmonds, a distinguished educator and legislator. In 2004, we dedicated the Richard Topolsky Memorial Playground. The playground was a cooperative effort between the school, community and district to provide the neighborhood with a safe play area. Our mascot is the Falcon, a symbol of leadership and strength.

I am an Early Literacy Specialist at F.S. Edmonds Elementary. I work with K-3 teachers to strengthen their literacy instruction. All projects I post will be for the teachers I work with to use in their own classrooms.
