Jessie Helms
5th grade, math
My name is Jessie Helms, Ms. Helms to my students. This is my 4th year teaching in Dallas ISD. I am currently teaching 5th grade math at Blanton Elementary located in Pleasant Grove, a part of Dallas, Texas, where 93% of the students are considered economically disadvantaged. The students I teach are what drive my passion in the classroom every day. Their stories, resiliency, and hearts push me to be a better person and teacher and I work each day to provide them with the best education that I know they each deserve.
