With these funds I will purchase 10 iPad Mini 2 tablets.

These tablets will give 70 fifth grade students the opportunities to have...

All tablets will be purchased from the refurbished section of the online Apple store where customers can buy refurbished Apple products for a discounted price. ALL refurbished items are given an Apple warranty. The set of 10 iPads for this project will be bought at an estimated discount of $700 from the list price.

*For every iPad purchased through the Project, our school will pay for an iPad case to ensure that the technology remains safe and intact for future classes. 

 

Back Up Plan

If we do not meet our goal we will purchase however many iPads the funds allow. Each iPad costs $229 and the remaining funds will be used to purchase dry-erase markers. These markers are used on a daily basis by students when working out math problems on white boards. Markers will be purchased online at School Specialty.

August 5, 2016

Thank you to all the investors who donated to my class's goal of purchasing iPads! We are thrilled to use this money to implement more technology-based learning in the classroom and I am eager to show all who invested the different ways we are using the iPads. School begins August 23rd and photos of the kiddos using the new tech will be shared by the end of the month! Thanks again!

About the Creator

Hola! I'm a first-year teacher serving in my hometown of Harlingen, Texas. My school is located in a border town that is predominantly Hispanic, covered under Title One and 96% of the students qualify for free school lunches. I'm a dedicated 5th grade math teacher and want to give ALL of my students the opportunity to work with modern technology and develop a love for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
