The Description

With these funds I will purchase play-doh and play-doh related tools for students to use during art centers time. Students will directly benefit from this hands on, multifunctional medium. It will provide an opportunity for student artists to create and problem solve in a three-dimensional material which is not only beneficial in and of it self, but is also great preparation for the use of earthen clay. West Elementary School is a Title 1 school and serves a large population of students who receive free and reduced meals. We are also a district that does not spend nearly as much per student as many neighboring districts do and are therefor always in the need of additional funding. With these funds I will purchase a 36 pack of various colored play-doh, a box of shape cutters and a set of molding and cutting tools.

Back Up Plan

If I do not meet my goal I will purchase as much of these items as I can afford, starting with the clay. I will save the rest until I have enough to purchase the tools and cutters.
