The Description

We are attempting to build a music library at our school! We own a very small number of concert band pieces, and our band teacher has purchased a lot of those songs with her own money. Having more songs to play will help us grow as musicians by exposing us to new cultures, musical terminology, and composer styles.

Students at our school deserve these resources because they work hard to learn the songs our school owns. Students end up having to play songs as more advanced players that they played previously because we simply do not have a music library at our school!

We plan to purchase at least 17 full concert band songs with the money we raise. Each song costs between $35 - $100 and is a timeless piece that will be played by our current 110 band students as well as students for many years to come! We plan to order from JW Pepper. Here is our Wish List!

Back Up Plan

If we are not able to reach our goal of purchasing all of the music on our wish list, we still plan to purchase as much music from our list with the funds we do obtain! The pieces we want to purchase range from $35 - $100, so we can still purchase several songs if we only reach part of our goal.

Hello friends and donors! We are so pleased to announce the arrival of 8 new band songs today. These songs were purchased with the funds you helped us raise. One song is on back order and should arrive in a couple of weeks. Thank you so much for your generosity and investment in the future of the KIPP Intrepid band program!

Hi everyone! Ms. Schuster here. I wanted to update you on the status of our cause. Our cause timeline has officially ended, which means we were able to raise a grand total of $550. You have been instrumental in raising money for our cause, and we thank you! We have not gotten our check yet, but when we do, I will place an order with JW Pepper to get as much music from our list as possible. In the meantime, I am listening to songs and sorting through our list to decide which pieces would be the best to purchase with the money we did raise. Thank you so much for everything you have given our music program. We will continue to grow because of YOU!
