The Description
Currently, my 25 students only have three laptop computers to conduct research projects. During the course of their 8th grade year, the children in my class will be working on three major research projects. As part of working groups, one "center" will be a research center, where students can develop their content knowledge of their topic. Providing students with three more chromebooks will allow them to connect to knowledge more readily in my classroom.
I am hoping to provide the eighth grade students with the study skills and internet navigating skill necessary for being successful in high school. These chromebooks will be the student's first interaction using a laptop for research in a classroom setting.
The specific chromebook I will be ordering is a Lenovo IdeaPad 100s, 11.6". This particular laptop is one of the best deals in technology for students.

Back Up Plan
All donations will go directly to the purchase of laptops for my classroom. For each $175 donation, I will purchase a chrome book. If I do not gather enough funds to purchase a laptop, I will use the funds in combination with fundraising from my classroom to purchase a computer.
