The Description
Meet the amazing Villanova University sixth grade homeroom at KIPP: Academy of Innovation! We're a community of nerds with a lot of energy, and we've got big goals to go to great colleges like Villanova.
In our classroom, we know that great mathematicians are also great readers! With this in mind, every student has the goal of reading at least 1 million words by the end of the school year; and we need a plentiful library to make that happen.
In our homeroom, we spend the first 30 minutes of every morning reading our favorite books. Some of us even get to lounge in our favorite reading chairs or on our reading carpet during this time. Every day more and more of us are finishing our books and we're excited to take on new ones. Unfortunately, our library doesn't have as many options as we would like and we're starting to have a hard time finding interesting books on our levels.
If we're all going to become millionaires this year (a big step on our journey toward college!), we need A LOT more books in our library to read, read, read. Please consider donating to support our goals as we work to become great mathematicians AND readers this year at KIPP.
Back Up Plan
If I do not meet my goal I will purchase as many books as possible with the money we do raise.
