The Description
Hello!
We are students on the Academy of Environmental Science’s Envirothon team. Envirothon is a high-caliber academic competition that is centered around bringing awareness to ecosystems and human interactions with the environment. Our team has won first place overall at the Nature Coast Regional Envirothon. Previously, AES has won first place at the State Envirothon and has competed at the National level. Now, we will be representing Citrus County at the Florida State Envirothon in Live Oak, FL and are asking for your help to get us there!
The state competition is held on April 27th in Live Oak, Florida. The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise money to help cover the registration fee of 225 dollars, hotel rooms, transportation, and food expenses for our team members. This competition allows us to represent our school and community on a statewide level, while applying our knowledge we have gained through hours of studying, after school practices, and classes we have taken. The classes include; Advanced Placement Environmental Science, Marine Science I and II, Ecology, Biology, Zoology, Limnology, and Meteorology.
We appreciate your support and hope you will help us represent our school and community at this competition.
Thank you for your consideration!
