With these funds I will purchase 1 Hokki Stool, 1 T-stool, and 10 Fidgeting Foot Bands for alternate seating opportunities.  First graders need lots of opportunities for movement; however, with more demanding standards, students tend to spend a good portion of their day sitting on the carpet listening to stories or sitting at a table reading or writing.  Some students in my class have difficulty sitting still will be able to use these resources to incorporate movement in their day, allowing them for academic success. This will help students who need to wiggle and move, while staying on task at their seats.
