Reading non-fiction texts is a critical skill when it comes to career and college readiness. My students find nonfiction text, especially in the area of science, very difficult to understand because of all of the unfamiliar concepts and new vocabulary. Unfortunately, there are not many resources that provide leveled texts to meet the needs of all of my students no matter the level they are at. That is why this year I want to get Readorium for my classroom, to ensure that all of my students have the ability to read high-quality non-fiction texts to develop critical reading skills.

All of Readorium’s texts are aligned with Common Core as well as the Next Generation Science Standards. This means that my students will not only be developing their reading skills, but will also be doing so while learning relevant science topics as well. This cross-curricular approach ensures that all of the time spent on Readorium engages students and helps them build connections between multiple subjects.
