The Description

Thank you for looking at our science classroom projects fundraiser!

This upcoming year we will be conducting STEAM based projects that will engage students in the classroom and outside of the classroom. Our charter school is located in a city that has many great things to offer to the community members however it is also a community that is in high need for reform in its schools facilities and resources provided to all of its students. In the science classroom, students need to learn concepts through a variety of forms of learning. One of these is through hands-on learning. This includes labs, STEM challenges, and engineering design projects. In order to increase diversity in STEM field careers as educators we need to create interest and engagement in students in these courses during their K-12 journey. That is what we are aiming to do at Triumph Charter Academy!

Materials that these funds would be used for would include simple household items such as baking soda, vinegar, construction paper, colors, tape, string, rulers, and scissors. Other funds will be used for special and/or more complex science projects such as astronaut ice cream, microscope slides, chemical solutions, and a hot plate. Some funds will be used to help students be ready and prepared for the classroom. Students who are unable to get some school supplies will be provided with a folder, pencil pouch, composition book, highlighters, index cards, and/or glue sticks.

Back Up Plan

If I do not meet my goal we will only do household item labs and activities.
