Everyday I attempt to start independent work time and small group reading instruction with my children and everyday I spend countless minutes untangling wires from headphones. It's like a tangled web that tangles itself over and over and over again! My students try their very best to keep them untangled, but no fail, after a 15 minute rotation those headphones have retangled themselves into a intertwined ball of wires! After I get the group settled, and turn back to my reading group….I see a little hand saying that their headphones aren't working and the detective work starts again! My class needs some dependable headphones that are WIRE FREE! These new headphones will free up time and frustration within my classroom! With these funds I will purchase a set of 12 headphones that my students can use to listen to stories and programs while on a computer or tablet. The students will be able to work independently and quietly. We will no longer need to worry about tangled wires or wires that are kinked and have to be plugged in just right to work! Frustrations will be gone! These headphones are also super cool because they will have the availability to use the microphone on the headphones to record themselves reading and be able to hear themselves read.
