With these funds I will be able to buy basic equipment such as chemicals, gloves, aprons, microscope slides, and other scientific equipment. Students will benefit from using proper safety equipment to engage in science experiments.  The use of these funds will help purchase chemicals which allow students to experience a hands-on approach when mixing chemicals and recording different reactions. This would be a wonderful experience for our students to witness how science actually works in the real world and being able to apply theoretical knowledge to actual lab experiments. Most of my students are at-risk and do not have a stable background outside of school. Therefore, a majority of students do not get a decent exposure to science at home. I want my students to be able to have a good exposure to science in order to motivate them to take their scientific knowledge to the next level.
