The Description
With these funds I will purchase the very latest must read books for my daughter's second grade classroom from the Scholastic Book Club catalogs, plus amazon.com. Her teacher shared with the students the top ten ways to become a better reader with number one being read, number two being read, etc... You get the picture! As a parent I want to help get these great books to the students. Below are the books and authors that the teacher shared with me that will be sure fire winners:
-Any books by Robert Munsch. There are approximately 15 books from this author in the classroom and the students simply can't get enough of them! Although these books are not on the Scholastic Book Club catalogs they are listed extensively on amazon.com. http://www.amazon.com/Robert-Munsch/e/B000APX51G
-Any books by Dav Pilkey. Mr. Pilkey writes the incredibly popular Captain Underpants series. The books are worn and torn in the classroom. The students would be so excited if these were replaced. This author also writes an engaging series called Dumb Bunnies. https://clubs-kids.scholastic.co.uk/authors/4879
-More books from the Dairy of a Wimpy Kid series for the class. The author Jeff Kinney knows how to weave funny inventive stories that the second graders love to read. https://clubs-kids.scholastic.co.uk/authors/201052
Thank you for any assistance helping to get these awesome books into the hands of these eager students who love to read. They deserve the latest and greatest out there.
Back Up Plan
If I do not meet my goal I will purchase...a smaller amount of books from each author.
