With these funds I will...enrich my students' lives with the beauty of arts and crafts to develop a life long love of creativity. When I was a child, I thrived on using watercolors, paint, chalk, colored pencils, and bits and pieces of anything I could turn in to art. My kids at school only get to go to art once a week. As a kinder teacher, I try to bring art into the classroom as much as possible. This is the time when creative minds need to be developed and allowed to explore. At home kids are too busy with dance lessons, music lessons, and sports activities, that having fun with good old art supplies just doesn't happen. When's the last time you got to swirl your finger in some finger paint and create a beloved piece of art? I want my kids to have these experiences! In order for this to happen, I need funds to buy all those wonderful art supplies :)
