We were the 3rd Grade Brilliant Ballin' Allstars and now we are growing into the 4th Grade Problem Solvers. No matter the name, my students call us a team. I am thrilled to be looping with my amazing group of students from Florida. We have big goals this year, but we need your help. In my first year of teaching, I was left in awe of the creativity and critical thinking skills of my 3rd grade students daily. In a wealthier neighborhood, students like mine would have access to the programs and materials that could let their beautiful minds grow. In a wealthier neighborhood, my students would have access to stronger intervention programs and after-school enrichment activities that could help fill in the natural gaps in learning. Unfortunately, this is not the reality for my students. Students at my school live in an extremely resource deficient neighborhood and go to a high poverty Title 1 school from Kinder to 8th. The majority of my third graders were 2 grade levels behind when I met them. 

I want to give my students the after-school enrichment that they deserve. By creating a Student Government club, I will teach my students how to have their own voice. In addition to being the voice of their classes, they will lead Community Service projects and also create monthly videos outlining our Core Values at our school. I need a GoPro camera and editing software in order to get my student's faces on the wide screen! 

Please help me get these students the afterschool enrichment they deserve.
