The Description

With these funds I will purchase paper, expo markers, cleaning supplies, and other supplies to continue building the class into a safe and fun place to be!

In order for my students to build their confidence and have an appreciation for math, they need materials to get them there.
They now need to have the tools to take the responsibility of their education into their own hands. All these materials will help them do that. Help me bridge the gap of learning and take them to a place of achievement disbelievers think impossible.

These materials may seem insignificant but they are huge. We need:

About the Creator

My 49 freshmen students are bright individuals that tend to be forgotten in the high school they attend because they scored in the lower 35% performance level of state testing last year. However, there are 266 students also in this Algebra 1 cohort. They attend a historically low performing school and are in desperate need of some transformational changes in how they are educated. The majority of the students I teach are the lowest performing students at the school; they are academically at risk of dropping out. They are faced daily with the struggles of poverty, violence, and low expectations. I am looking for any contribution that can be made to our classroom. All materials I receive will be used to effectively teach rigorous content, inspire them to dream big, and empower students to take ownership of their own life's trajectory.
