With these funds I would like to begin to build a rich, diverse, and motivating Spanish library for our Spanish as a second language program in it's first year. I will purchase a set of Spanish books that will enlighten and delight the minds of our K to 4 scholars. There is no better way than reading to build vocabulary and acquire language structures needed for natural communication. They love to read in their first language and are ready to listen and begin to read authentic children's Spanish literature on their own.  I want to add to that spark of enthusiasm so that they may take it with them for the rest of their lives.
